Dr Raghavendra is a spine surgeon with keen focus on degenerative spinal disorders (especially of the low back) such as prolapsed discs and spinal deformities such as Scoliosis, Kyphosis and Spondylolisthesis. His key skills include use of modern enabling technologies for precise and safe delivery of care to patients with spinal ailments, including use of computer navigation, 3D imaging, and minimally invasive techniques.
He had over a year’s experience as a Fellow of the Spinal Cord Society (Indian Chapter) and was a Research Associate in spinal surgery at the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre in New Delhi – one of India’s most advanced centres for comprehensive care and rehabilitation of patients with spinal ailments.
Dr Raghavendra was a spinal surgery fellow for a year at the prestigious Centre d’Etude et de Treatment des Affections du Rachis at the Institute Calot in Berck, France. He was awarded an Attestation de Formation Specialise Approfondie (AFSA) from the University of Lille 2, France. His training covered all aspects of spine surgery, the majority of them being in paediatric and adult deformities. He was a DePuy Spine International Spine Fellow at the spine surgery service at the General Infirmary at Leeds, UK from November to December 2007.
