Dr. Praveen Kumar S is a dedicated and highly trained Urologist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of urological conditions. He completed his MCh in Urology from the Institute of Nephro-Urology, Bengaluru, one of India’s leading centers for urological training.
He has extensive experience in advanced endourological procedures, including ureteroscopic lithotripsy (URSL), retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS), percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), DJ stenting, and TRUS-guided prostate biopsies. He is also trained in reconstructive urological procedures, including the management of urethral strictures and other complex urological conditions.
He specializes in the treatment of urinary tract infections, lower urinary tract symptoms, urethral stricture disease, male sexual health disorders, and urological cancers. His areas of interest include Endourology, Laser Stone Surgery, Reconstructive Urology, Uro-Oncology, and Renal Transplantation.
Prior to pursuing his superspecialty training, Dr. Praveen served as a Senior Resident in the Department of General Surgery at SSIMS & RC, Davangere, where he gained extensive experience in surgical patient care, emergency surgery, and perioperative management.
