Somdattaa completed her MBBS from St. Johns Medical College, Bangalore following which she completed her mandatory rural service of two years duration. She then joined DM Neurology at NIMHANS. She further went on to subspecialise in paediatric neurology from NIMHANS and movement disorders from University of British Columbia, Canada. She takes care of patients with epilepsy, Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders as well as children and adolescents with neurological symptoms.
