A widely travelled surgeon with varied experience, especially in the field of Oncology and Head & Neck Surgery, he has undertaken his Oncology training at the country’s premier cancer institute, i.e. Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He is a visiting Scholar at the Department of Otolaryngology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, USA, a Consultant at the Institute of Public Health and an Executive director of the Cancer Prevention and Tobacco Control Project with W.H.O. He has been on the guest faculty for numerous national and international conferences and CME.
His social initiative, especially on tobacco-awareness, is exemplary & he is extremely passionate about a tobacco-free world. He is also Member of the Action Council against Tobacco (ACT) – India and member of the Union for International Cancer control (UICC) Globalink – Global Tobacco Control
